Archie our sweet shaved guy is in a great foster home now, with Barb and Lindy. They love him, and sent along the photos posted above. He is getting along famously with their own cats, and loves the gas fireplace.
We took in Archie shortly after our foster Verbal was adopted. Right from the start we knew we would adopt him even though we have 6 already. It has taken a few weeks just to decide on a name because one of our cats is named Archie. We went through Janusz,Tomek,Simba, Clarence, Izzy, Rogan but he is being officially adopted as Louis. It is so difficult to describe how affectionate and loving he is. He arrived and immediately took over the role as the "baby" of the family. From the first day he plays with and hides toy mice everywhere. With the energy of a kitten (we do not think he is 1 year old yet), he challenges his older 6 feline companions to play constantly. Our Archie (male, 3yr) bonded with him first but Andrzej (also male, 3yr) now likes the new arrival to play with. Louis now has bonds, of one sort or another, with the rest his older companions. He sleeps anywhere he wants. All of our other cats allow him to do so even in their favourite beds or areas. It is very fascinating to observe the leeway he is granted. This may or may not continue! Regardless, for a cat found by PFA in April off the street that had to be almost completely shaved to get rid of matting, had mites and an abcess under his chin and half an ear lost to frostbite... He is the most adorable, affectionate, loving personality one could encounter..
So Archie is now Louis and he is thriving in his new home for life... His fur is growing back and wow! Let us know if you want to see those future photos...
