Little Iggy-Cat!

This adorable little Muffin is Iggy, a 3-4 month old kitten found starving near the dump in Indian Head. She was rescued by a kind lady in White City who has partnered with PFA to rescue cats in the past.

Just as PFA was scrambling to find a foster home for this little one, she was adopted by a cat-loving lady from England who had to leave behind her pets when she moved, and is really missing them.

We were optimistic that Iggy had a home, but unfortunately the neighbour in the suite next door suffered a severe allergic reaction and Iggy had to go after only a few days. Luckily, we were able to place her in a loving PFA foster home and we will work on getting her a real forever home.

Fawn is Fabulous!

This pretty and precious little kitten is Fawn, a tiny female who was rescued running around a golf course outside the city all by herself at the age of only 6 weeks.

Fawn had really bad ear mites and a serious case of worms when she was rescued but has been treated and is now living it up in her safe and loving foster home, where she is thriving.

Fawn is a super sweet and friendly kitten and she loves to meet new people, even though she was obviously on her own for some time outside.

She is super soft, super cuddly and super cute with her little white ruff!

Smokey is Super!

This lovely gray boy is Smokey, a young cat who used to be among the many strays in the North Central areas struggling to survive.

Lucky for him he found his way to a kind PFA volunteers yard, where he has had access to food and an outdoor shelter while we waited for a space in foster care to open up for him. Leah has rescued many, many cats in her neighbourhood, including former PFA foster cats Pumpkin and Socks, Archie and Sammy, who are all now happily adopted.

He's doing great with his new foster family, and is a very cuddly and affectionate boy who will be listed for adoption shortly.

We are very grateful for people like Leah who watch out for the strays in their neighbourhoods and give guys like Smokey a chance at the good life in a loving home.

Purrfect Little Percy!

This handsome little fellow showed up underneath the doorstep of a kind lady living in the downtown area. After feeding him for a while, she became concerned that he was homeless and took him in to foster him, and asked PFA for help in getting him a home.

Percy is super cute and friendly. He's really happy to be inside and to be cared for by a person, and he is definitely enjoying his meal times. Once we are certain that there is no owner searching for this little guy, we will be listing him for adoption.

Another Day, Another Stray

This handsome young male was found starving near an apartment complex in the north end, likely a victim of abandonment. He has a tatoo and we believe his name is Alvin.

He's a friendly and affectionate cat and very happy to be safe, warm and well fed.

Currently, we are trying to find his owner through the vet clinic. In the meantime, we're seeking a temporary foster home for this little guy, as he is rather stressed by the other cats in his emergency spot. He is already neutered and will be vaccinated and listed for adoption if we can't return him to his home.

Another Successful Shelter Building Bee!

Thanks to all the diehard PFA volunteers who gave up part of their week-end to ensure that our feral cats will have access to some cozy shelters over the brutal winter months.

These shelters can make a huge difference in the life of a homeless cat! Here is a one such feral cat, Grey, checking out the new shelter box built by his caregivers, Scott and Jenn, PFA foster care providers and feeders of numerous neighbourhood strays.
